Background[]

Pandemonium is a guild that was originally founded on October 26, 2005 by Lowix and four Level 1 characters. The guild has, at one time or another, housed many of Dolera's historically legendary players, including: Lowix and Kardir, Nyalith, Xekoroth, Lady Sooz, Skeletor The Vicious, Iserbius, Edkeys, Athraz, Vappy, BlackshadedEthn Sin, Crim Sin, Marv Wells, Mepabuz and Pyroflames, along with many others. It has also been home to many of Dolera's most popular players, such as: Jeero, Iserbius, Rod Stiffington, Unconscious Guardian, Activist, Raddik and Rory Mor.

Pandemonium was a very unique guild for a long time. To understand Pandemonium's unique approach to gathering high levels, you must first look back at the leader Lowix's history of betrayal by the Paras. Lowix being the first level 100 on the server was immediately betrayed by the Paras and hunted off. The lesson learned here by Lowix was twofold, 1. it's not enough simply being the highest level, you need more high levels. and 2. ally with people to develop relationships that you can depend on in the future.

With those two lessons learned the founding of Pandemonium was initially done with placeholder level 1's, and Lowix. He sat on this guild in that state for a week or so before he started determining the path he would take in building what would ultimately be the dominant guild on the server for a number of years. Regarding lesson 1, multiple high levels, his first approach was to reach out and talk to each vocation's highest level on the server. After the rooking of the paras Ron Para (Royal Paladin Level 110+ -> Level 1), Bon Para (Master Sorcerer Level 85+ -> Level 15) and Zon Para (Elite Knight 100+ -> Level 1) which was the official ending of the Para's dominance of the server, the highest levels of the server for the respective vocations were Lowix (Royal Paladin), Nyalith (Master Sorcerer), Athraz (Elite Knight), and Xekoroth (Elder Druid). Nyalith and Lowix were already close, as they had relied upon each other for information and help during the Para's reign of the server, they remained friends even after the Para's hunted Lowix off. Athraz was very good friends with Nyalith during this time. Lowix recognizing the value in having strength in numbers both in level and quantity, privately messaged and had conversations in Ventrilo with Nyalith, and Athraz about joining pandemonium. Lowix realized the only vocation he didn't have the highest level represented in his guild was the druid vocation. So to complete the set he messaged Xekoroth and invited him to the guild.

I was hunting Edron dragons, I was around level 58 or so, hmm'ing the dragons and bursting them down while running them since back in this day we didn't have wands/rods and we were still on 1 second exhaust rates. I was not in a guild, but I was good friends with Nuttymiked who ran a rather large noob guild called "Free iten Plx" or FIP for short. While everyone knew who Lowix was, the only interaction I'd had with him was sometimes he would be bored in game chat and award prizes like a dragon shield or a bp of UH to people who guessed some off the wall Trivia he came up with on the spot. Sometimes Tibia related, sometimes not. I'd correctly figured out a few and received a couple prizes and so our only interaction up until that point were the Trivia contests in which after winning a couple I mainly just commented and gave hints to those trying to figure out the answers.

He asked me if I would be interested in joining Pandemonium. I quickly looked at the guild on the Tibia.com website and noticed everyone in the guild was 90+ with a couple of them 100+. (Lowix, Athraz, Nyalith). I responded, "Why in the world would you want me?" (I was a character that was at the time considered the worst of the vocations since I was a mage that couldn't UE, and who was 40 level's lower than most of the guild members to join) He laughed and said, "Well you may only be 58, but I have seen you in game chat, you seem like a pretty smart person, and you are still the highest level of your vocation, which makes the guild well rounded in power. Even if you aren't that high level I am sure you would make a good adviser." That answer seemed reasonable to me and I said i'd be happy to join your new guild.

Later other high levels in their respective vocation would be invited to the guild. There was a common misconception in the community that the guild operated on a "Join or Die" mentality. This was really not the case, there were several examples of high level character's not associated with our guild. Eruanno, Nuttymiked, Edkeys, Maguz Pistolero to name a few. Many of them founded their own guilds and some of them such as Vasilisk (Aka Vazilisk) remained solo for a long time. We never employed the strategy of hunting off a player who refused to join. Contrary to popular belief, more people wanted to join the guild Pandemonium than we allowed. Once we had won a couple wars and had stopped most policies of random pk'ing on the server which allowed the community to grow substantially (Less than 100 players online to around 250-300 players online) Pandemonium was well respected on the server and being invited to join was not a veiled threat in the slightest. That being said, there were other guild's who opposed Pandemonium. After the fall of the para's Lowix's real life friends Sho jin and company were upset with Lowix's allying with internet strangers and the strain eventually caused Lowix to choose those pandemonium members over his real life friends. This caused actual violence in real life and Lowix was jumped, and severely beaten. Attempts were made using postal fraud to intercept a recovery key on his account, internet lines were disrupted to force him to lag out and die in game among other nefarious strategies, but ultimately his real life friends lost the war against Pandemonium with the help of what was a little guild at the time Del Chaos, which later would forge it's own war against Pandemonium. This war would ultimately shift control of the server for years from American to Mexican.

Wars[]

Pandemonium has fought through many wars, the three most noteworthy being against:

Alliances[]

Of course, few guilds on Dolera have ever been successful without having some allies along the way. Guilds which Pandemonium respected most as allies include: DC, Waterloo, SiS, and VoD.
